Revolving® Filter System

1 main filter + 1 safety filter.

The Revolving® system allows only one filter level to be replaced at a time while optimizing the main filter's lifespan. No pollutant is released into the laboratory, even if the main filter fails. When the main filter is saturated, the molecules are directly routed to the safety filter. The safety filter replaces the main filter when the latter reaches its maximum capacity. A new filter is then installed in place of the safety filter.

Recommendation for the Revolving® system when both filtration levels are saturated:

If the compliance check reveals that both filtration levels (main and safety) are saturated:

Without handling CMR products, it is acceptable to:

  • Proceed with the Revolving® as previously described by placing the saturated safety filter in the main position and the new filter in the safety position to ensure user protection and prevent access to the upper part of the fan module.
  • Limit equipment use before quickly replacing the saturated main filter by performing another Revolving® with an additional new filter.

When handling CMR products, ERLAB recommends immediately stopping the equipment until both filtration levels are compliant again (no saturated filters).
