either alone (<strong>1P configuration<\/strong>) or installed upstream of<br>activated carbon filters (<strong>1P1C, 1P2C configurations<\/strong>), particulate integrity tests are possible, in accordance with the<br>protocol described in Annex B of <span style=\"color: #0bbbef\"><strong>ISO 14644-3:2019<\/strong><\/span>.<br>This standard allows for testing using an aerosol photometer or a Light Scattering Airborne Particle Counter (LSAPC).<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">The amount of test aerosol released into the enclosure must be adjusted to the enclosure\u2019s volume and airflow rate.<br>Special care must be taken to ensure homogeneous aerosol distribution within the enclosure volume.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">The probability of HEPA filter integrity failure upstream of carbon filters due to improper installation is extremely low.<br>This is due to the \u2018air break\u2019 mounting principle, whereby any leakage is directed from clean air to contaminated air,<br>thus preventing contamination of the work environment.<br>Only mechanical damage to the filter surface may result in a risk.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Note<\/strong>: The aerosol photometer method offers ease of use but \u2018may require a higher upstream aerosol concentration compared to the LSAPC method\u2019.<br>The latter, according to <strong><span style=\"color: #0bbbef\">ISO 14644-3:2019<\/span><\/strong>, \u2018requires a series of calculations to be implemented and may also require a dilution system\u2019.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0dfabcf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0dfabcf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"translation-block\">For devices equipped with particulate filters located downstream of activated carbon filters (<strong>1C1P<\/strong> and<br><strong>2C1P<\/strong> configurations), test aerosol challenge is not required.<br>These configurations are recommended exclusively for cleanroom installations.<br>In such cases, the efficiency of the particulate filters can be verified by a simple particle count downstream of the <strong>HEPA filter<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-33 elementor-top-column
